Best Practices

Before Your Turf Installation:

  • Look for windows or other reflective surfaces that may magnify sun onto your turf. Work with a window or screening company to reduce reflection.

  • Spray for weeds 1-2 times the 2 weeks prior to your turf installation.

  • Review your irrigation system to check for any leaks.

  • Place flags where each sprinkler head is located.

  • Identify any pool, gas or other piping with a landscape flag.

  • If you have a pool, put a pool cover on.

  • Communicate with your Turf Advisor regarding any potential delays to your install date.

  • Review what is covered under Warranty vs. what is a Service Call on our website and Brochure.

After Your Turf Installation:

  • Allow a few weeks for your new turf system to settle.

  • Refrain from directly pulling on any edges or seams the first two weeks.

  • Pick up after your pets in a timely manner.

  • After pet waste, use water and/or a turf specific pet cleaner to keep your turf pristine.

  • Pick weeds when they occur.

  • Do not use excess heat from a leaf blower, or place a fire pit directly on turf.

  • Add additional infill every 3-5 years.

  • If adding lawn furniture, playscapes or other items, use infill at pressure points to protect turf.

  • Avoid putting metal directly on turf.

  • Rake and remove leaves and natural debris when necessary.
